Through my window

Through the window

I see the trees so cold sleeping as though lifeless under their dry skin

While the dehydrated snow slowly recedes like aging ice

And the roads so dirty lie covered by remains of salt and sand

But the sky so blue revives cast shadows into art

As the sun so bright lights up the death of winter
